Here are some pics from last month when Elizabeth and I spent a much needed day together road tripping and treasure hunting. We took my new-to-me van (aptly named Kat Van D thanks to Elizabeth) and hit up thrift stores and antique malls in Eureka, Pacific, and Washington, Missouri.
Treasures were found, fun was had, shop cats were befriended, and Burt’s Bees lip-balm was used in place of WD-40 (which doesn’t really work in case you were wondering). All in all it was a successful and fun trip. We got lots of display pieces for the store and maybe a few odds and ends for ourselves.
Once the van was full we headed to Webster Groves for a meeting of the minds with the St. Louis Craft Mafia. The Foundrie is sponsoring an awesome eco-friendly craft show they put on in March called Green with Indie. Several of the artists we carry at the store will be there with new spring goodies and there is rumor that the often elusive “Craft Yeti” may even make an appearance. Mark your calendars for March 9th from 10am to 5pm at Webster University. You won’t want to miss it.
I have another blog post in the works about our soon-to-be-expanded retail space and some fun projects we have been working on so check back again soon. February is going to be another amazing month at The Foundrie!
Hey, that’s my hometown! Glad you gals had a great roadtrip to WashMO. My sister referred me to your store and I’ve since started following you on Facebook (as I am a vintage enthusiast/seller myself) and I love what you do! Keep it up
Hi Laura, thanks for the sweet comment! Hope to see you in the shop soon!
